The Town of Orange and the Communications Workers of America, Local 1103, have reached a negotiated successor agreement that provides meaningful wage and benefit improvements for our members working in the Town of Orange ECC.

In addition to retroactive wage enhancements, the new agreement includes incremental changes to employee medical premium contributions over the life of the contract. These modest adjustments reflect the Town’s effort to balance rising healthcare costs while keeping employee coverage affordable.

The contract also provides enhancements to differential payments, recognizing the additional responsibilities required for certain positions within the bargaining unit. These gains acknowledge the valuable work performed by CWA-represented employees in maintaining essential Town services.

CWA Local 1103 would like to express gratitude to its members for their patience and unity throughout the process, emphasizing that the agreement reflects their continued commitment to high-quality public service. The Union also thanks the bargaining committee — Dave Mermina, Jodie Szarmach, and Jonathan Winchell — and Business Agent Kevin Scrobola for their hard work and guidance throughout negotiations. The Union views this contract as a step forward in supporting members’ economic security and professional recognition.

With the agreement now ratified, Town of Orange ECC employees represented by CWA Local 1103 can expect updated pay and benefit changes to be implemented in the coming pay cycles.
