Sisters and Brothers,

On this Labor Day, we honor the generations of working Americans whose courage, sacrifice, and solidarity built this nation and keep it running. It’s a day to reflect on the victories of our movement and to recommit ourselves to the work still ahead, as many of our rights and protections are now under attack. 

To every member who has the day off, we hope you’re able to rest, recharge, and spend time with your loved ones. To those who must work today — providing essential services and keeping our communities functioning — we thank you deeply. Your dedication on a day meant to honor workers does not go unnoticed, and we stand with you in pride and solidarity.

Labor Day is more than a holiday. It’s a reminder that when working people stand together, we have the power to shape our workplaces, our communities, and our future. As your Local Executive Board, we are committed to carrying that fight forward — for fair wages, safe working conditions, secure retirements, and dignity on the job for every member.
