Friends,
We gathered this morning (and later at 12:00 pm) to remember and honor Gerry Horgan. The Local 1103 Executive Board visited the Gerry Horgan Garage in Greenburgh, (White Plains) NY and spoke about his passing on August 15, 1989, which occurred as a result of a scab hitting him with a car on a picket line during the strike.
He wasn’t just a coworker, or a tremendous Chief Steward and leader, he was a Marine, volunteer fireman, and family man. He was someone who touched our lives in ways that went far beyond the workplace.
Gerry may be gone, but he has never been forgotten.
