Regional Bargaining Report # 23 Saturday, August 6, 2011 10:30 PM CWA District 1/IBEW Local 2213 and IBEW New England Local Committees met with the company this morning at the Rye Town Hilton in Rye, NY. With only an 1 1/2 hours left before contract expiration, we are still waiting for the company to get back to us. Obviously, they do not hear us. At Midnight tonight – they will hear us Loud and Strong Verizon seems hell-bent on destroying the middle class jobs CWA and IBEW have fought so hard to create over the last 50 years of collective bargaining. We will not let that happen It is time that Verizon invests in America and brings Good Jobs back into the bargaining unit. Corporations like Verizon should not be destroying middle class jobs. They should be helping to rebuild the American economy and sharing their success with the workforce that made that possible. We will not allow VERIZON to destroy the Middle Class At MIDNIGHT it is time to fight back! Midnight – they will know we are fighting for the Middle class Mobilize! – Mobilize! – Mobilize!
